Saturday

Pleasant party with an interlude for watching the lunar eclipse, with an unexpected bonus of seeing some shooting stars. But felt inexplicably sad on the way home and slept very poorly. Up early in time to head off to Go Ape.

Sunday

Up bright and early (ug) for Go Ape and made excellent time to the depths of Thetford forest. Compared to the last one I made a much better job of the stirrups, and I seem to have managed to do the tarzan swing a bit more gracefuly than last time too, though I have no memory of actually stepping off the platform, which is kind of spooky. I was quite pleased to manage perfect landings from all of the zip slides. Fingerless gloves and two jumpers rather than a jumper and a bulky coat made a huge difference to comfort and convenience and being able to buy hot food straight after finishing was good, too. (Another hint for anyone else who might want to go in the future - you will get oil on your hands and probably thus everywhere else, which might affect your choice of clothes.)

Back to Becky's to watch more Cities and then dopily home, where much as last night I seem to feel rather down. I'm hoping it's just the tiredness but not finding this theory very convincing.

Back to work tomorrow.
