Oh, and my debit card was refused in a shop yesterday, which gave me an opportunity to send my bank on a wild goose chase. They wanted to be pretty sure I was really me, and I'd forgotten some password I'd allegedly given them once, so they mechanically generated some questions about my account and asked me those. Fortunately I could remember them! All this dealt with they said they hadn't cancelled the card and couldn't find any record of any attempt at a transaction yesterday, so I'm guessing something closer to the retailer failed to work properly. Perhaps it'll work next time.

The thing I was actually buying was El Mariachi, Desparado and Once Upon A Time In Mexico, which caused LNR and the sales girl to discuss the relative merits of various actors.

Tortilla westerns, surely, being Mexican? El Mariachi, in particular, is a film that rocks.

When I went to my bank to change address they asked me how much the last cash withdrawal I made was and where from. As if I make a mental note every time I take a tenner out...
