I got pterm working on FreeBSD. (utmp support doesn't work yet and I'm not certain what extra privilege it needs to allocate its pty securely though.)
My subconscious seems to think that invented mobile phone adverts and dry cleaners are sensible things to occupy my sleeping brain.
