Ice Skating

Becky and I went skating at Cambridge On Ice, the temporary ice rink on Parker's Piece. I've not been skating for many years but I think I got back to about my usual level of competence fairly quickly.

It's quite small and pretty crowded; unlike larger rinks there wasn't much scope for escaping to the middle to avoid slow wobbly people (once I'd stopped being slow and wobbly myself l-) unless you're prepared to skate in very small circles. However I didn't actually collide with anyone (or fall over for any other reason for that matter).

It's £8.95 for an adult to get in and that gets you an hour (but you have to be ready to go onto the rink on the hour - we turned up at ten to eight so that was fine, if you turned up at twenty past the hour you'd have rather a wait for the next slot). You can book online (ETA: but LNR points out this carries an outrageously expensive booking fee).
