I would get people overestimating my age, too. Though, sometimes I read something ewx wrote and think, "gosh, that's exactly how I might have phrased it", so maybe that's no surprise.

In dealing with local councils when under 18 (or whatever the cutoff was) I would get interlocutors that had looked me up and noticed that I wasn't on the poll tax register. (-:
