Foot

Seems to be doing pretty well. I have all sorts of other aches now from the various odd ways I've been getting around. Hoping to be working from work rather than from home tomorrow.

Watched and enjoyed Gattaca with LNR tonight. Only twigged the significance of the title as the closing credits came up, which was a bit slow.

Mmmm. I liked Gattaca. There's been a few science fiction films, like that, Minority Report, Dark City and whatever, that I haven't exactly rushed out and bought, but I enjoyed them and am glad that that genre is around in mainstream cinema for me and others to consume.

It seemed to me that there was a much bigger story to be told in the Gattaca universe, of which what we saw in the film would be but a tiny part.

In other news, I also liked things like Sixth Sense and Unbreakable, which bend reality in other ways. (-:

What is the significance of the title, for us thickies out here?

Glad the foot is healing.

Clue: the film involves screening of, and identification with, biological characteristics.

Google provides.

Not being entirely au fait with my nucleotide bases of DNA, I'd never have worked it out for myself (clues or not).
