Spent too much of Tuesday at work tracking down a nasty little bug in our java code. In the end it turned out to be considerably less subtle than I'd though. Really hoping to spend more time on proper languages soon, but I still have one more java-related bug to at least sheppard if not actually fix myself l-(
Having escaped that I headed to the station to collect ali_anarres. We joined
antinomy and company in the
pub and then for dinner, before heading off to the Calling.
lnr turned up shortly after we arrived with bright red hair.
I'll take some photos this evening if we have time, so that the
non-Cambridge bit of the world can see the results.
I'd not been to the Calling before and was very pleasantly
surprised. The venue was less, well, dingy than I'd expected and
there were lots of people I knew well already there when we got there
(and more arrived shortly). Caught up with various people, met a
couple of people who I knew of but somehow had never actually
met properly before, danced quite a bit and in particular really
enjoyed dancing with meirion, who is lovely.
Got home ... late. Amused by Ali's reaction to our bookshelves. Woke at 7, and regretted not getting more sleep, but only managed to doze until getting-up time; under the circumstances I'm feeling more alive now than I expected.
Glastonbury preparation this evening: practising putting up the tent, deciding what we need to buy tomorrow, and hopefuly getting an early night.
