House phone still not working. NTL are teh suxx0r. Ask if you think you might want to phone me but don't have my mobile number (preferrably including some way of contacting you that is less than universally readable, if you don't think I can work it out).

Got some more lawn weeding done on Monday but more still wouldn't hurt. A few anthills might have suffered in the process. We should pay more attention to the garden.

Came away from Karate last night with a bumped thumb (the same one with the cut), though it seems to be pretty much OK today, and a mysterious graze just where blocks connect that I don't remember getting. Hopefuly it won't have bled on anyone's gi (if it did then most likely mine).

I seem to remember vinegar being quite effective at getting bloodstains out of clothes, but I may be misremembering utterly. I'm sure there was *some* common household thing that worked well, though...

(I got off very lightly, from what I remember, when I used to do karate. Of course, eight-year-olds can't punch that hard.)

No evidence of anything on my gi, having checked this evening. Not surprising really, grazes tend to take a while to bleed much IME.

Cold water soaking gets bloodstains out of clothes if used before any other washing technique. Cold water still reasonably common.

Salt, I think?
