...kept getting worse and worse through yesterday, though the evening seems to have improved it. Right now (morning) it doesn't seem to be hurting but I'm feeling really paranoid about it.

Upper. It's tending to actually hurt most around the lower parts of my neck, though the doctor thought last week that the main problem was actually a bit further down. It hasn't been too bad today, just been nervous about doing anything in case I set it off again...
