http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/ is the "astronomy picture of the day". My computer checks it periodically and installs the picture it finds as a backdrop. Usually they are quite pretty. Today however it was entirely beige ("the average color of the universe"), which is a dreadful backdrop. Each time it updates I manually set the backdrop back to black...

Is it really that bad? I mean it's a particularly vile *shade* of beige but even so...

It's only average for 24 hours then so that's not so bad. We all need an average day occasionally. <-:
