An afternoon off Bateman Street

This was just lying there looking all Andy Goldsworthy:

This is really small:

I shot one of these some time ago; it's in flower now.

There were a couple of this weird-looking plant in the rock garden, but they seemed to be doing a lot better in a normal flower bed.

All pictures.

Lovely set. We went there on Saturday but a quick flick through my results are nothing compared to these. It's a cracking lens, that, and you use it to its full potential.

It's easily my favourite lens.

No idea, I'm afraid, I neglected to look for a name plate (I do have a few name plates recorded for other things). Might have been in the alpine section of the glasshouses.

Someone who knows the jargon could have a go with an online plant identifier (http://www.colby.edu/info.tech/BI211/PlantFamilyID.html). Failing that I might pop back in one lunchtime and finnd it again.

I shot one of these some time ago.

This needs a photo of yourself in the garb of a victorian huntin' and fishin' type, standing over the corpse ...

Or perhaps not. 8-)

Lovely pictures. My bus goes right past the botanic gardens, but unfortunately half an hour after they shut.
