The first one's a ladybird nymph, isn't it?

Well, it looks like it, but the color's off. Or maybe that's the color you get on that side of the pond.

Wow, like the top one especially *grin*

The woodlouse is gorgeous; I really like the way that you're imaging at a resolution where you can see the spiracles on insect armour, which are a detail actually below the naked-eye limit. I don't know how much micro-detail there would be on the ladybird nymph in focus (I know focus is a matter of inordinate patience and infinite exposures -- spent a couple of hundred shots on a single mosquito-like thing without getting anything actually worth display).

Have you any possibility of finding a cockchafer or similarly large beetle? Generally I've been able to find smallish black ones in the garden without much trouble, though maybe having to disturb the earth a little. Worms are easy to find, though move a lot; I don't know if they'd be interestingly hairy at your macro's resolution.

High resolution woodlouse () (970KB JPEG). I've not spotted a larger beetle in the garden lately but I might have another look sometime.

Your woodlouse link is broken, sorry.
