[Poll #954774]

If you have more than one sleeping partner pick just one. (If one of them is me, pick me. l-)

...and I'm just too polite to mention it... :)

I also do some of those things.

I should probably add the Parsley is the big bed-hog in our house.

Yes - my kitty is too - I have to be very careful which side I put my feet on to sleep so I don't kick his majesty. And he doesn't understand this daylights savings so the kitten alarm clock is still going off at 6:30am aargh!

Ah, maybe the clock change explains why they've been less demanding of breakfast this week. I'd assumed it was because they'd got bored of the food. (Well, Parsley has anyway, but the furry alarm clock business is as much about being let out as being fed.)

*snort* I like the 'ooh pick me pick me!' at the bottom :)

But I'm just as bad.

Only sometimes, and not enough to wake me

(Not being absolutely sure which of the options you'd ticked here, I found myself wondering how many crumbs in the bed would be enough to wake you :-)

Bah, and I still ticked all but one box! Now, if there were boxen for 'grind teeth randomly' and 'hit me in the face with a pointy elbow'... ;)

Oh, yes, 'have elbows' would have been a good one.

[identity profile] cartesiandaemon.livejournal.com 2007-03-27 03:11 pm (UTC)(link)
But would probably not be enough to be a tickybox -- I'm reliably assured you have more elbows than anyone else :)

I'd like to say that it's a scurrilous rumor, but I suspect it's from the same source as my information about [livejournal.com profile] damerell's snoring.

[identity profile] cartesiandaemon.livejournal.com 2007-03-28 01:48 pm (UTC)(link)
We could just define her as scurrilous for the purposed of this conversation.

Ahh, the teeth grinding. There was me thinking it was a genetic abnormality confined to my family (my brother does it, and apparently I do too).

Hot water bottles are the answer.

You forgot "turning in at 0530 waking you up so you cannot get back to sleep".

"hog the duvet" and "hug the bed" are the reasons why I like my wide bed (200 cm) and separate duvets.

The only time I've shared a duvet with anyone in the last ten years or so was for a couple of days in a hotel, and I'm not too keen to repeat the experience. Perhaps it's something one grows used to, but I've been used to having my own for too long.

(Incidentally, how do you pronounce "duvet" -- stress on the first (DOO-vay) or second (doo-VAY) syllable?)

[identity profile] ewx.livejournal.com 2007-03-27 06:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Stress is on the first syllable hereabouts.

Large bed and normal duvet works fine for us. Except when the cat pins the duvet to the bed dead centre, and you don't want to disturb him as there's a good chance he'll noisily demand attention, thus spoiling everyone's sleep.

Cold feet sounds very familiar. I had problems with boy-friends before who snored which kept me a wake. I have cold feet too. I used to eat and have crumbs in bed when I was either living with my parents or grandma. When I fall asleep next to anyone I am getting very violent because I turn around and hit the whatever is in the way. Really sleeping next to me is actually not possible.
