Quality or quantity?

I can't outstare anything, having nystagmus is fun like that.

On the other hand it does stop then doing iris scans on me, so if I do a bit of DIY brick laying (tend to leave you with no recognisable fingerprints) then I think I can reduce the biometric measurements they could take from me to an amusingly small set.

At one point the ID card legislation had the interesting property that it could contain a subset of the proposed biometric data (to cope with freaks like me) but wouldn't hold any medical data, so couldn't say why it didn't hold the biometric data.

Ah - I always wanted to know and was too afraid to ask. That's the same as Mr Blunkett isn't it? I'm of course assuming that yours isn't as severe? I could be wrong. What do I know?

The bad eyesight is congenital cataracts, nystagmus is just something you tend to exhibit if you've had them, it's not noticable most of the time). I'm not sure what the cause of Blunkett's blindness is, but I believe he exhibit nystagmus as well, as does (I seem to remember) the head of the Foundation for Information Policy Research. So at one point the person in charge of introducing biometric ID cards and one of his main opponents were both miedically unable to provide said biometrics.

The post after this one on my friend's list is titled "bye bye eyeball" so I have selected "Chun the Unavoidable" from your list.

He's one of my favorites.

I found him quite disturbing. And Blikdak gave me bad nightmares. I read the books in Dutch originally - they translate very well. (Blikdak would mean TinRoof, strangely).

Hmm. I had to look up Blikdak to remind myself. IIRC he doesn't actually do that much in the story other than be vaguely menacing. (Obviously there's the implied munching through the local virgins for the last few decades or however long it was but that's all off-stage.)

[identity profile] keirf.livejournal.com 2007-03-15 04:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, he spends most of his time snorting out ghosts. He can't really do very much other than sit and wait...

You missed off Blinky the Inflatable Penguin. He is very starey.

If I was a green, and became colourless, I'd be pretty furious too.

Is it possible not to outstare Medusa?

Medusa's gaze is reflected by your shield. Medusa is turned to stone!--More--

I do hope this version of the userpic is temporary...
