Monday. This must have been The Animatrix, rather late in the evening. This is a collection of short (mostly) animated stories in the same continuity as The Matrix. I particularly liked the visual style of Kid's Story and the dark, scratchy A Detective Story. Beyond was fun to watch. Matriculated lost pace for a bit in the middle but wrapped up well, and reminded me a bit of some of Iain Banks's SF. The Second Renaissance was largely exposition but an engaging watch nonethless.

Tuesday. Dinner out with [livejournal.com profile] lnr then off for a couple of hours punting with [livejournal.com profile] mobbsy, [livejournal.com profile] ptc24, [livejournal.com profile] dreamingchristi and [livejournal.com profile] beckyc. I'd not been punting for ages, so I was quite glad to discover I was still adequately competent at it. Given the aches I've noticed since though I think I'm glad that I stopped when I did and switched to lounging in the front of the punt.

Wednesday. Swimming went pretty well, though I managed to miss Becky and LNR turned up a bit late. I'm now finding that it takes a couple of lengths before I have to rest and then not for long; the first time I'd got back in the water a single length would completely shatter me. My stroke and breathing are both better and I think I'm pacing myself better.

After that we went to the Carlton for the pub quiz, where we ended up in one of three SGO teams, with [livejournal.com profile] kaet. That was fun. If they still have the real cider on next time I go there I might be a bit more conservative about the amount of it I drink though.

Thursday. Quiet evening in, some spent watching more videos off [livejournal.com profile] damerell's CDs. Boku No Sucky Sucky is a scream. Currently waiting for LNR to get home.

Work. Another of those days which didn't feel very productive at the time but seems to have advanced things reasonably well by the end nonetheless. Figured out the cause of one rather nasty bug, worked out a bit more about the cause of another one (but not enough yet to be able to fix it.)
