Not quite marnanel's counties lemming

Where I've lived. That's easy enough: Dorset and Cambridgeshire; specifically, Poole for the first about three years of my life, Bournemouth thereafter and Cambridge when at university and since.

Where I've visited. I've been to Scotland a few times, in particular visiting Edinburgh once with family and once with friends; and for an SF con in Glasgow. I can't remember where else we might have gone in Scotland in the family trip. The map everyone else is using misses out Northern Ireland, but I've visited Larne in County Antrim. As for Wales, I believe I've been to bits of it, but sufficiently long ago that I don't remember the details.

Which leaves England. County Durham I've been too relatively recently, for teleute's wedding. I've been to Cumbria (we visited Sellafield); we probably visited some other northern counties on the same trip, but my memory isn't clear on the subject. Tyne and Wear and Yorkshire I've been to, not least (but not only) as a result of knowing lnr. And I've been to Liverpool a few times for conventions.

Moving south a bit Lincolnshire I know I've visited a number of times though all now quite a while ago; my Dad grew up there. Herefordshire similarly has had a number of visits, having relatives there. Warwickshire (open day at Warwick University), Nottinghamshire (visiting kaet) and Gloucestershire (work, friends of parents), though have all felt my foot, too. Birmingham I've been to many times (relatives), which gets West Midlands.

Cambridgeshire, of course. I've been to Suffolk (for instance Go Ape, and visiting a colleague who lives in darkest Suffolk) a few times and Essex (relatives) many times. Bletchley Park is in Buckinghamshire, and I've been there. I've visited London many times. Oxfordshire of course I've been to many times, when lnr was still a student, but also once with work.

We had several family holidays in Devon years ago. Dorset I grew up in and Hampshire and Wiltshire have both seen visits from there. I once had occasion to visit Worthing for a QL-related meeting, and that's in West Sussex, and we once visited a dubious cousin in Kent. A friend who lived in London's sprawl was I think technically in Surrey, so I'll claim that too. And we went to Glastonbury in Somerset last year.

And I've been to the Isle of Wight and Jersey, too, both for family holidays.
