What I've been doing lately

...lots of Karate; still three times a week. On Wednesday Sensei Durant, the SKA's chief instructor, turned up instead of our usual teacher. I'm finally starting to reliably remember the Jodan and Chudan Ippons; I don't need them for my next grading (about a month away) but given how long it's taken me to pick them up I'm glad to be getting there early.

On Tuesday some of us went to see King Arthur. Despite the 'true story' blurb I wasn't exactly expecting an accurate presentation of fifth or sixth century Britain, but the film is thoroughly bad even apart from that.
