  • Books for sale (make me an offer):
    • Deep Future (Stephen Baxter)
    • The Lost Continent (Bill Bryson)
    • What If - Fifteen Visions Of Change for Britain's Inner Cities (Hutton, Brown, etc; ed. Carpenter et al).
    • What If (hardback) and More What If (various authors; ed. Robert Cowley)
    • Bloody Mary (Garth Ennis/Carlos Ezquerra)
    • Orbiter (Warren Ellis et al)
  • Books to give away:
    • The Size Of Thoughts (Nicholson Baker)
    • Neanderthal (Douglas Palmer)
    • Manual Of Karate (E J Harrison) (really ancient - if you actually want to learn Karate, join a club and get a modern book)
    • The World In 2003 (The Economist)
    • Eye Of The Zodiac (E C Tubb)
    • Rork! (Avram Davidson)
    • A Spell For Chameleon (Piers Anthony)
    • The Dilbert Principle (Scott Adams)

The first What If is a bright orange collection of essays on inner cities from a few years ago, including one from the Scottish gentleman who risks losing the next election. The other two are collections of speculations on the consequences of various historical battles going the other way. The for-sale books vary from almost new to reasonable in condition, the giveaway books have a bit more of an air of age to them.

First offer for Deep Future: a quid, and a pint next time you're in London.

I should flog off the duplicates in my library, too.

Ooh - I'd love a copy of the Dilbert Principle. I'll happily offer a pint or two in exchange ^_^

One fifty opening bid for Fifteen Visions of Change, and I'll take The World in 2003 off your hands as a bonus...

I am not allowed to acquire any more books 8-) though if I was I'd be interested in 'Bloody Mary', so if nobody else wants that I will try to sneak it through the book embargo but this post reminds me I don't think I ever said 'thank you' for the memory card. So thank you! (And sorry it's a bit late...)

A friend and I are visiting London Zoo tomorrow. We expect to arrive on the 12:15, and we don't have a clear timetable for when we're done with the zoo.

I realize this is (a) short notice and (b) not a very useful input into scheduling, but the possibility is there if it nonetheless turns out convenient for you; let me know if so and I'll bring it with me.

Otherwise, well, the book's not going anywhere, it can wait...

If that's still the case, I would still like it, please. Is there any way you can get it into the UMS...?

I neglected to getting round to asking LNR - well she was up north - and now she's gone off to Whitby. So, er, it could be a few days yet...
