Moussaka. A million pounds. Eight hours of uninterrupted sleep. Toffee popcorn. PotC and Red Dwarf III on DVD. To find out why my stomach hurts so much lately. Some glue, to mend the teapot lid.
I want to receive a decent monthly wage and yet be obliged to do nothing for it other than write free software. (Whether this is achieved by someone donating me enough money to live on the interest, or by someone employing me to write free software, is entirely up to the putative benefactor, although obviously the former would be preferable since I'd never have to worry about redundancy!) Also I want a girlfriend. And I want to own a house rather than renting a flat.
Getting even less believable than the above three, I also want a body without the minor inconveniences of this one - in fact, preferably a nice modular one so I can take out (for example) the knackered chest muscle and put a new one in. And freedom from mental annoyances such as phobias and unpleasant memories (it's OK if the memories are still there, as long as they don't jump out at me when I didn't specifically ask for them).
After that? A sensible form of transport such as teleporters or at the very least a safe and simple form of flying car (far preferable to ground-cars since they wouldn't endanger pedestrians, wouldn't cause lots of road-building and it's much harder to form a traffic jam in three dimensions). Non-polluting, while we're at it. Some sort of implant which causes your body to exercise itself thoroughly while you sleep, so you get fit without having to take up precious waking time with exercise (unless of course it's a particular exercise you actually enjoy). Cures for all known diseases, possibly including old age if we can also have a means of keeping the brain indefinitely workable in the face of gradually accumulating memory and experience and not have people become terminally set in their ways. An Infinity Machine to be built, just because I think it'd be cool.
And then? Well, world peace, an end to hunger, the usual crowd. Ultimately, an alternative habitat for the human race whose basic rules automatically enforce people's autonomy, so that murder, theft and violence become impossible without the victim's consent. (Probably a software environment is the only possible candidate here.) Failing that, living in the Culture would be a decent second-best.
