Oh agreed. Indeed, caring about the opinions of some British people, or ever having visited a nation other than the USA (the overwhelming majority of Americans don't even have a passport), is in itself a positive sign. (-8
Americans I meet in the UK are generally very much more civil, intelligent, broad-minded and informed than those I meet in the USA. Peculiarly, in some cases these have been the very same people under different circumstances…
It was either tick all (since many americans are all of them some of the time) or none (since I don't believe any of them to be universally true). Sorry :-)
