Though I generally don't read anything labelled TMI from work and I generally forget to go that far back in my friends' page when I'm at home....

always and sometimes because I can't really decide which of the two is closer to the truth. I don't not read them because they're TMI, but I sometimes don't read them through lack of time.

Depends totally who wrote it. Some people's TMIs I steer well clear of, others' are quite amusing :)

Depends on who wrote it. Some people's idea of TMI is "I was ill today", others' is "I had a three-hour long session of wild passion with my girlfriend, her ex-boyfriend, their horse and its lesbian lover. Here are some pics".

Same.

Also, I think I would have voted for 'Usually' but that wasn't an option, and 'Sometimes' seemed too weak.

WHS. Although I occasionally read the seriously-TMI kind as well, simply through clicking on the cut out of absentmindedness...

I'm not sure that's WHS... all he said was that there were two types of TMI, and whether or not he read it depended on which sort it was...

I read stuff in journals. But if it's marked TMI I'll probably leave it till after work :)

(which may mean I forget)

Oh, and wouldn't a radio list be more appropriate for that sort of poll?

the last option would have to be a separate question.

Good point :-) He could of course be avidly reading about the sexual exploits, and carefully avoiding the descriptions of illness...

Somehow, this strikes me as more likely... but then maybe I just have a biased view of Matthews interests...

(Seriously, other peoples illnesses are a bit of a busmans holiday to trawl your way through reading about when you're a vet, especially if they're nothing you can offer constructive advice on)

But neither of those are too much information. <TMI>this</TMI> is too much information.

(NB: It really, really is.)

Now, I wonder how many people will follow that link, and mightily regret having done so…

Or I could tell all of you about the time I accidentally snapped my frenulum?
