Weird dream night: I dreamed that my keyboard had gone totally mad and was typing mostly gibberish, but occasionally (accidentally) insults into irc rather than what I was attempting to type. There was a bit about going to WOC to buy a new one, but then it shifted to waking up in the same room as one of Vicky's housemates and puzzling over the fact that all the timepieces in the room had gone mad, and trying to understand the instruction manual for my watch, on the theory that it had gone into stopwatch mode; but the manual was a folded up bit of paper with a contents section that didn't match up with the rest of the text.

I woke up early again this morning on account of a marvellously surreal wish-fulfilment dream in which I was starting another Masters' course at some bizarre university composed of the people clue and open structure of Hatfield and the gorgeous accommodation and conveniently tiny site of Cambridge. I also recall that Mobbsy and several of my schoolfriends were there, and the beds were all much like the one I now own rather than the dodgy student efforts I had while I was actually at college. My subconscious is really quite clever these days - it's got my usual self-deprecating and slightly blokeish wit off to a T - but I thought the nicest touch was the fact that I turned up at the faculty of to get my timetable, only to have one of the academics remind me that I hadn't in fact signed up for languages, I'd signed up fo linguistics instead. I woke up just at the point where I was about to phone Amino and tell them I couldn't start work because I was doing a course I really liked instead..

It still doesn't beat the deeply symbolic one where I was running around in a room where chocolate blancmange was oozing through the ceiling, trying to catch it in the lids of jigsaw boxes, but hey :)
