The cut on my thumb having largely healed it was obviously time to strip some more skin off my hand, this time catching it on something sharp while clearing up after an hour or so spent vigorously comparing martial arts notes with [livejournal.com profile] beckyc and [livejournal.com profile] saraphale; ironic that despite repeatedly hitting the floor I was only actually injured at the end. Shallower but wider than the last one and was stinging like mad last night (though it's doing a bit better right now).

Anyway, the swords were interesting to try out, and while the various sneaky grabs and twists were interesting there were really too many to remember properly. We should do it again but we should have a plan.

At work I have been working for ages now on a large design for one of the components of my current project. The light at the end of the tunnel is at last starting to become visible: most of the remainder is formalizing various things currently described by handwaving or example.

OUCH

Sainsbury's assorted waterproof plasters are waterproof neither in the sense of keeping water away from your injury nor of reliably staying on when they get wet.
