You sir are unaware of the 'Ogres are like onions&hellip they have layers' statement from Shrek (or you had forgotten it) and also of the "Databases are like onions… they have layers" statement made by my boss in Mataró. The resulting phrase "Databases are like onions… they have ogres" was the product of a lot of beer. :-)
Actually I believe the Russians have some sort of proverb about onions and staying alive. Or maybe it was just one of those weird plays they have on R4 sometimes. Or one of my funny dreams.
