Badbury Rings
Dec. 31st, 2005 12:43 pmBadbury Rings is an iron age hill fort in Dorset, probably occupied by the Durotriges until the Romans arrived. The more famous Maiden Castle is a larger example of the same sort of thing. Today what's left is three concentric mounds and ditches round the top of the hill; it is inhabited by sheep.
...and people wandering around it on a cloudy afternoon.
