I've never had a partner before who was bothered about it, so it took my a while to get my head around the idea that Colin might, especially as a precedent was set our first year together, when he thought we weren't serious enough.
Anyway, we had our usual cinema trip on tuesday, and on friday we're going away for the weekend, all three of us, to stay with friends, and I bought him a ver special tree because it was on special offer.
One year I had a lovely card from a lovely anonymous gentleman who turned out to have a lovely name, too. That was nice.
