Wednesday/Thursday

It was good to head off somewhere after a rather crap few days. On Wednesday afternoon lnr, hoiho, j4 and I departed for Oxford. Some administrivia and interestingly-DIY food later we ended up at the point of the exercise, Panic.

julietk turned up not long after, followed at a little remove by the rest of the London crowd. Danced quite a bit (for the first time in ages and ages and ages, actually), chatted with various people but mostly marnameow. Generally had a nice time l-)

Still rather tired the following morning, lunch perked me up briefly but by the time we'd sat in the pub for a bit I was completely shattered and remained so until we got back to Cambridge. There was a bit of faffing and we got ourselves to the beer festival, very briefly ran into fluffymormegil and damerell as they were leaving and caught up with everyone else inside (the weather was filthy).

At the cider counter the Wilkin's sweet was nice, but seemed to have run out by the time I was in the mood for some more; the Coombes sweet was a perfectly adequate substitute. I had some dry cider in between that I forget the name of and didn't think much of anyway (but perhaps nesting it between two sugar-packed drinks didn't help.)

After a failed hat trick, we all wandered home...

Back to work today; my cold hasn't entirely gone away but I don't really fancy another day stuck at home. Had a call from the garage on Thursday about more expense for the car repairs; it's quite likely they'll have to hold on to the car over the weekend.
