APOD as my background
I used to, but RedHat9 went and made
display -window root
non-functional and I've not figured out an alternative.

This seems to be because of nautilus making a background window that covers the whole screen. Don't know how to stop it from doing that.
Proposed solution: ditch gnome/kde and use fvwm instead. :-)

The majority of APODs are pretty, but that's particularly so (and got turned into the backdrop on hex.oucs as well as the usual 'apod++').
The APOD book is on my birthday list :-)
