Spent the morning chasing bugs a bit tangential to my project proper (some of them are "in the way", others are merely related to things I know a bit about or have some kind of general responsibility for); the logic being being that the next bit to do will take several days and I won't be back at work until next year.

The rest of the firm went off for the company Christmas bash, which I didn't quite fancy at the point I had to make a decision, and in fact I'm quite keen on conserving my energy for this weekend anyway. Instead I had lunch with a bunch of friends and then some xmas shopping in the afternoon. Still plenty more to do but I did find a few things worth giving (and any number of things I'd like for myself which I resisted buying).
