The US Government is a terrorist-supporting regime that does many vile things. Whether supporting terrorists is one of those vile things is open to debate (I think it is), as is whether it does enough vile things to be considered actually vile (I think it does).
"Axis of evil", however, is plain dumb — a desperate attempt to over-simplify an emergent property of world politics, and present it as deliberate scheming.
*nod* that's the bit that I most particulalry feel is a stupid thing to say about any country. I think thedistinction to be made between a nation state and its government is also quite important, and the article did not make clear any belief that Kilroy-Silk was even aware that such a distinction could be drawn. (Although, actually I'm fairly certain that he is.)
