Back at work this week. Mostly testing thing and fixing bugs (yesterday's bugs being where I noticed a couple of odd things in log files) but also a bit of chasing round trying to discover whether a separate project was actually working yet.

Swimming on Wednesday evening, which didn't last long thanks to the remains of my cold (which also had me in a rather poor state on Thursday morning). I'd been intending to go to the pub quiz afterwards but changed my mind on hearing who else would be likely to be there.

Karate on Thursday evening. Historically when I've got left and right mixed up (usually involving a mirror) it's been possible to just retry without losing anything except a small amount of time. This doesn't work so well when you're trying to block. Still, it's early days yet.

To the Castle afterwards, for to the birthday of one of LNR's coworkers. Happened to run into Austin, which was nice.

I saw Austin at the beer festival last summer.

*guilt* did I not successfully teach left and right?

No, your other left!

It's not knowing left and right per se that's the issue - concentrating on words works pretty well for me, but concentrating on what someone else is doing and reflecting (or not, as appropriate) and using that as input to what I'm doing seems to fairly reliably come out the wrong way round.
