Having read Happy Like Murderers (http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0571209971/qid=1078839297/sr=2-1/ref=sr_2_11_1/202-2830574-2725457), 'that wants to be fixed' makes me think of Fred West. It was like, his catchphrase or something.
It's an excellent book. I find serial killers interesting, especially the really pervy ones like Fred & Rose West. It's amazing just how pervy they were; moreso than the papers ever printed at the time. Fascinating stuff.
