catching up
Jun. 11th, 2003 07:45 pmIt seems to have reached Wednesday without any record of what's been happening, just questions and stuff. Er, so what have I been doing? Mostly working hard and being extremely tired in the evenings: the feature freeze is approaching and although I'm probably going to slip it a little I think it'll only be a little.
Most of today was spent chasing a bug that in the end turned out to be very simple once I'd actually located where it was; the horrible speedbump I referred to a while back would have got in the way had it not been sorted out by a colleague by now. The latest barrier to progress is that one of my modules panicked at the end of the day and won't play any more. I'm going to have to learn morse code, as they use it to indicate what state they are in via the LED on the backplane (there's not much space for a UI on a PCI card!)
I also had my (rather late) three month review, which went well.
The hayfever is very bad; the various pills sold as one-a-day seem to manage a few hours at best.
Oh, and despite the starter motor having been replaced twice the car is still having starting troubles. Perhaps the RAC will start to believe that the problem lies elsewhere next time we call them out?
