Well, I just upgraded the floppy drive on the same computer to one that's around ten years old, so you might have something there.
...there is method to my madness. I recently discovered that I still had the two ED disk drives from my QL-using days (the sort that get 2880KB or more per disk, assuming you have the right sort of disk, which in general you don't). And one of my computers has a duff floppy drive. It's not quite the simple replacement you might imagine, though, because I want to match the ED drives with ED-capable motherboards, just in case I ever do find some extra large floppies and an application for them, so there's a bit of shuffling to do...
