I'd been dithering about whether to go this year; I was feeling distinctly run-down and my memory from previous years was standing around in the cold getting a stiff neck. In the event [livejournal.com profile] stephdiary encouraged me to go over IRC and I took my camera along. Standing further back than usual, primarily for the camera's benefit, helped with the neck too, in fact.

Heh. Looks like the two-three second exposures you used were just about the right length. Good work! The EXIF information showing the 35mm equivalent focal length is still incorrect, though :(

Sure. But by-and-large, I'm mostly interested in knowing whether a shot was taken with a wide-angle or a telephoto lens, and translating the focal length from a cropped sensor camera into the equivalent on a 36x24 frame tells me that - modulo subsequent cropping. Of course, the next complication is that depth of field is a function solely of focal length, so other parameters don't scale...
