I suggested the socks might make a good userpic - here are my attempts with black background (http://www.greenend.org.uk/rjk/photos/misc/lizzip-black.png), white background (http://www.greenend.org.uk/rjk/photos/misc/lizzip-white.png) and transparent background (http://www.greenend.org.uk/rjk/photos/misc/lizzip-trans.png). I still have the full-resolution XCF with a mask for the feet if you want to try anything else.
