So you can point a loaded gun at a policeman and pull the trigger, and be aquitted because you "didn't mean it"? What the hell?

Eh? I don't see anything that says Jamma was acquitted there. He's still on trial as far as I can see.

It would seem not totally unreasonable that if you genuinely didn't mean it and could convince the jury of that, you might manage to be convicted of manslaughter rather than murder. But nobody's talking complete acquittal, are they?

They should have locked him up before he could shoot any more people. I don't believe his excuses. He killed people. He is dangerous.

The trial's not over yet.

You probably won't be surprised to learn I noticed the cheeseplant in this icon of yours before I noticed the jaguar...

I did not pay attention to the cheeseplant. I can't even remember where Jaguars live. I thing they are in India or somewhere else in India. Is that where they are coming from, I mean cheeseplants.

No, the jaguar is a New World cat. The Swiss cheese plant, which has the lovely scientific name of Monstera deliciosa, is also known as the Mexican breadfruit plant, so the two do actually come from the same place.

(Except for my cheeseplant, Roderick, which comes from Newcastle; there's no jaguars there.)

I would rather expect more desert in Mexico then a jungle. The jungle is more in South America.

There's both in Mexico; it's a big country.

Ick. Dying in the cause of enabling tasteless legal humour is marginally better than dying and not doing so, but still a tragedy.
