Scientists say you dream every night but often can't remember it. I sometimes know that I dreamed something but it was so weird and confusing that I can't remember any details. Did you had that sort of dream?
I sometimes think that some epistemic modal calculus (http://plato.stanford.edu/entries/logic-modal/) would be well-suited to discussing this kind of thing. Then you could discuss this kind of thing much more economically, :).
