I have 5452 hot cross buns (I ate two).

walkable streets is fun.

Milton Keynes has 200km of cycle network.

Someone already invented that game where you have two words/phrases, and you have to find a series of webpages linking the wikipedia article on one to the wikipedia article on the other? You could play that.

Depends on what you're ill with, but I like this for colds and flu:

  • Juice from 1 lemon, and maybe a lime as well

  • A large dollop of honey

  • A large measure of something alcoholic, such as Scotch, rum or brandy

Add all the ingredients to a cup and then pour on boiling water. Allow to cool slightly and then drink. Repeat if desired.

I hate the way our social group never talk about feelings. Or if we do, it is to negate them.

When I was 15 I vacuum molded a yellow plastic lemon using a real lemon as a cast and stuck a timer in it (the plastic lemon that is).

We even got the pores in the lemon to come through.

I keep The Lemon in a tea box.

Tell me something.

You missed out "... I didn't know," to which [livejournal.com profile] rysmiel's answer is "The other night, I dreamed my best friend was a horse."

I've had some strange dreams the last while, but the only one I can remember off the top of my head was the one in which I was at Limmud only it was set in Cambridge University, rather than Nottingham.

Speaking of which, there's a room in the East Midlands Conference Centre (known as the e mc2) where, if you hit a switch in the wall, all the windows instantly go frosted. How cool is that?

There is an armed, undetonated hydrogen bomb in the water south-west of Qaanaaq in North Greenland. The US lost four there, but they only found three of them. The fourth one is still there.

I think this is to do with our social space being strongly hierarchical.

Also, people say very nasty things about people who aren't there, from which you can only deduce that the same would be true if you were to say something to them.

Also, there can sometimes be a kind of "unproductive" standing-order acceptance, which isn't really engagement.

Also, there can sometimes be a kind of consumer approach to social involvement, which means that you're unwilling to do things which devalue your stock.

Also, I suspect this comment is worded in a way that this anonymity is pointless, ;-).

I would like to spend more time with you in a taking-pictures-way next time I am in Cambridge/you are in London, if that is ameanable to you.

I'm afraid I wasn't very social last time I saw you.
