I sleep on the side and have my legs bent which might not be the healthiest way but I can't really sleep otherwise. I am turning around a lot and sometimes end up on my back. I know someone who lies on his front looking like a seal. I go to the loo at odd times at night. I often wake up. I am very bad sleeper. I try to avoid drinking before I go to bed. I could have drunken my own blood a few years ago.

So two people claim to be fairly traditional vampires, and 8 claim to drink the blood of virgins, and only one person was in both groups.

From this I can only assume that truecatachresis is actually Dirk Gently, and that seven of us have variously watched too much Buffy, or have iron deficiencies, and somewhat twisted GPs.

I can only fall asleep on my front, but often am only comfortable on my side; sometimes I end up tossing and turning so much you could attach brushes and commutator and use me to generate electricity...

I go to sleep on my right side in the recovery position and often wake up in exactly the same position. I don't move around a lot at night, but I do tend to drink water during the night. Not during my sleep, though.

I wake several times a night when my knees hurt and change position or fold the duvet to separate them.

I like to be too cold, with a breeze of fresh air. You didn't ask if we like to sleep with the window open!

Occasionally I attempt to go to sleep on my back with my legs straight, but it rarely works very well, unless I'm very tired. I still do it because lying on my sides hurts my arms after a while, and it's warmer to lie flat on your back.

I do very occasionally get up and drink some water during the night, but only really when I've been very daft and got entirely dehydrated during the day.
