I like the idea of a duckling taking a power nap.

Ah, you appear not to actually be dead. That's good. Thanks for hosting last night, hope you are recovered.

Yes, thanks. I had a nice time up until it went wrong; I need to keep a closer eye on my alcohol intake...

Don't have cocktails then! They're almost impossible to judge unless you make them yourself.

If you had appeared to be getting badly drunk, I'd have made you the cheat version (milk flavoured with small amounts of something strongly flavoured) - you'd never have noticed :-).

I had indeed reached the conclusion that drinks mixed by other people risked throwing off my (normally reasonably successful) rate-limiting. That's not to blame anyone else; I can always say “no thanks” (i.e. if my judgment is impaired to the extent that I can't then I've already gone too far).

On the subject of: best duck photo ever in the 'View photos' popup from this page (http://www.popsci.com/popsci/science/48e2b567d1b9f010vgnvcm1000004eecbccdrcrd.html). "Well, choosing a pond is a complicated issue Brian, there's a lot of things to thin about: water quality, volume of weed, opportunities to extort bread products from passers-by..."

We are not the only species which get very weird mutation and disabilities. They must have used mutated wolves and cats (but not as bad as wolves) to get those weird dogs we have nowadays of course not with more legs.
