"hog the duvet" and "hug the bed" are the reasons why I like my wide bed (200 cm) and separate duvets.
The only time I've shared a duvet with anyone in the last ten years or so was for a couple of days in a hotel, and I'm not too keen to repeat the experience. Perhaps it's something one grows used to, but I've been used to having my own for too long.
(Incidentally, how do you pronounce "duvet" -- stress on the first (DOO-vay) or second (doo-VAY) syllable?)
Yes - my kitty is too - I have to be very careful which side I put my feet on to sleep so I don't kick his majesty. And he doesn't understand this daylights savings so the kitten alarm clock is still going off at 6:30am aargh!
Ah, maybe the clock change explains why they've been less demanding of breakfast this week. I'd assumed it was because they'd got bored of the food. (Well, Parsley has anyway, but the furry alarm clock business is as much about being let out as being fed.)
Large bed and normal duvet works fine for us. Except when the cat pins the duvet to the bed dead centre, and you don't want to disturb him as there's a good chance he'll noisily demand attention, thus spoiling everyone's sleep.
Cold feet sounds very familiar. I had problems with boy-friends before who snored which kept me a wake. I have cold feet too. I used to eat and have crumbs in bed when I was either living with my parents or grandma. When I fall asleep next to anyone I am getting very violent because I turn around and hit the whatever is in the way. Really sleeping next to me is actually not possible.
