I saw The Rules Of Attraction again last night. I'd read the book some years before seeing it the first time so I always had a reasonable idea of how it fit together but I think it bears rewatching nonetheless, and it's left me wanting to re-read the book.

Tangentially, it also occurred to me that I want to watch Prizzi's Honor again; think Mr And Mrs Smith but twenty years earlier and with edge.

There isn't a prolonged sequence in Prizzi's Honor in which Jack Nicholson repeatedly kicks his beloved in the midriff is there? I found that very unpleasant in Mr&Mrs Smith, and would sooner not see it again. Otherwise the former looks good!

Not that I remember; but, well, it's been a long, long time since I saw it...

Now that's what I call a disclaimer! I'll risk it...

Kathleen Turner isn't it? H'mm, maybe I'll give it a shot.

Ah, it's Prizzi's Honour.

I was reading about how Mr & Mrs Smith inspired an episode of Stargate Atlantis the other day, and I just caught myelf wondering (a) what it was someone had said inspired *that* film (this one) and (b) what the world would be like if sci-fi TV was inspired by *classic* films instead of the trashy modern remakes...
