Apr. 2nd, 2008 01:53 pmI'm surprised they didn't come up with “Clegg over”. I think if I were a politician I'd not have answered the question at all, personally.
[Poll #1164588](Choose the nearest number, except only choose 0 if that's exactly right. Slightly odd scale is due to LJ imposing a limit of 20 items. Approximations acceptable.)

Date: 2008-04-02 01:29 pm (UTC)This is the kind of application that Renard numbers (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Preferred_numbers) (ISO 3) are good for. Taking the R10 series and rounding to the nearest whole number gives the following series of 19 items:
0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 13, 16, 20, 25, 32, 40, 50, 63, 80, 100
Presumably "results" is LJ-speak for "raw votes"?

Date: 2008-04-02 01:47 pm (UTC)And if you're going to just do a plain radio-button question, you can include up to 255 options anyway, so there's less need for Renard numbers.

You've obviously found a more sensible variant, :).
The media is still very strange about these matters. I was just reading about Mr Mosley's unfortunate exposee. It was claimed by more than one commentator that to have fantasies of the kind Mr Mosley clearly did questioned his sense of judgement. As if they were things you bought from John Lewis.
