Boot Camp font question

This image raises two issues:

1. Why does the Mac disk get an anti-aliased font and the Windows one a pixelated one?
2. Just how many fonts does a boot loader actually need?

That's really quite witty: it appears to be using (or simulating?) the different typographical engines on each platform as a visual cue as to which is which.
