This must be one of the first photos I ever took. The small boy is my brother. I was given a 110 format camera when I was small - perhaps seven or so? I don't know what's become of it now. It'd have been either my birthday or Christmas, both are in December so the snow doesn't really tell you which unless you can remember details of Bournemouth's weather in the 1980s.

It came with us on a European holiday. This would be the statue of Vercingetorix at Alesia:

This is probably Neuschwanstein, built by the mad (or possibly just politically inconvenient) King Ludwig II of Bavaria:

Somewhere up in the Alps, perhaps looking into Austria?

(Apologies for the lo-fi images - as well as being a cheap and cheerful camera in the hands of a child, these are scans from prints over 20 years old.)

I have the negatives for photos from merely a decade and a half ago but I'm not sure where the ones for the oldest ones have got to.
