Do you happen to have read either The Leaky Establishment or the Unseen University Challenge? They're both by David Langford, and both good. Unless "War in 2080" is relatively disappointing I'd be interested in giving it a try.

I've not read either; I've heard good things about TLE though, and Langford's certainly an entertaining guy. I just can't imagine having time to ever read this particular book.
