Questions from becky

1)What do you remember about the Severn Bridge and how did this experience affect you as you grew up?

I was sitting in the back of the car (alone, therefore before my brother was born, so within my first two years) and I remember that we crossed it. Erm, I don't think it's affected me much, though mhk seemed quite surprised once that I could remember something from so young...

2)If you could spend the next year as any age, what would you pick?

Depends on interpretation, which makes it a pretty interesting question l-)

Physically I think I'm happy where I am now. A few things weren't working too well earlier this year, and right now I have an achy arm, but taking the longer view I think I'm doing at least better than average for the last few years.

Emotionally it'd have to be somewhere from late 1995 onwards. Every year has had its ups and downs, I'm tempted to say 2002 though.

It'd be interesting to be able to observe myself at a very young age from the inside; to have an adult mind observing its own younger self learning how the world works, acquiring language, etc. That may be stretching the question to breaking point but whatever l-)

3)What are you most proud of and what would you sacrifice it for? (ie by not having done it/achieved it you could accomplish something else, whether personal or for the world as a whole)

Trying to identify well-defined achievements tends to lead me to various work projects in the past, but I'd rather not use one of those. One thing that does come to mind is the act of providing a name for the social group I find myself in, through registering and using the greenend.org.uk domain, though. It's not clear that that involved much sacrifice though!

4)If you had to live in the Big Brother house for however many weeks the show is on with any people from history, who would they be?

I've always thought that Julius Caesar would be a fascinating figure to talk to and get his opinions on the modern world and how it got there from the world he knew. I have NO IDEA who else I'd pick though...

5)If you could exterminate any animal/set of animals, what would they be/would you?

Something stinging or biting - I really dislike wasps, and although the bloodsuckers don't seem to go for me very often they do annoy people I like and some of them spread diseases that as a species we could really do without. I think Anopheles would have to be it, and I think I would indeed do it.
