Not much to report from this week. Swimming on Wednesday, undermined slightly by the remains of my cold but not quite so much as last week. Came almost last in the pub quiz afterwards but got the extra prize question (allocated to a team chosen by the other half of the pub) right, so hooray. Karate this evening, not aching much yet but can tell roughly where I'm going to.

Work has mostly been bug-chasing; they seem to be proving fairly tractable so far. I've spent about a day of my time on finishing off the previous release of the same project, on one of the later-released platforms; I've not got the two confused yet, but I'm aware of the risk.

Miss Congeniality is dreadful.

I rather enjoyed it, but I could tell in advance it wasn't really going to be Richard's cup of tea. I wouldn't call it *good* per se, but pleasantly entertaining at the very least.

Mindless brain candy - and that's all it pretends to be. There's room for light bits of fluff like this, so long as they're honest about being nothing more than being entertainment.

Yes, I enjoyed it. Not great, not awful, just a pleasant film.

I thought it was okay! Not something I want a copy of, but I could bear to watch it again. The DVDs we have now in the house are Bend It Like Beckham, suggested by a friend, and A Mighty Wind, Dawn's choice.

Actually, I really liked it, and would pick up a copy to own if I found it in a cheap bin somewhere. :-)

But I'm a big Sandra Bullock fan, and liked While You Were Sleeping a great deal too....

Friend hopping and saw this. So I'd just like to support you - Miss Congeniality is every sexist's dream come true. It's a bit of well packaged fluff. But come on, a 'heroine' chanting kissing rhymes at her paramour? Pathetic.
