That was Shredded Wheat, rather than Weetabix, that Ian Botham could eat three of. Lord knows why he'd want to unless all that wacky baccy gave him an appetite for chewing fibreglass.
I eat Weetabix quite often, but not often enough that a box won't go soft before I'm done.
So I bought a catering box of Weetabix, full of individually-sealed two-biscuit sachets. That way, nothing goes stale. It also means I always eat an even number.
I either eat them plain, or with butter and maybe also jam or Marmite.
No, shredded wheat was the stuff that was like bales of petrified string. Weetaflakes was just .... the stuff that was Weetabix but not compressed into those funny shapes.
I eat those Mini fruit+nut weetabix, and I don't usually bother to count them :) I pour on milk then microwave for a minute or so to take the cold off.
My Grandparents bought an Alsatian (Tammy) roughly around the time I was born. We both grew up with weetabix with butter on! Me and the dog would sit together munching our weetabix, until we were both 12, and she sadly passed away.
Other ways of eating wheatabix include - adding a dusting of either cinnamon or allspice when served with warm milk and a little brown sugar. or -spread the dry biscuits with butter and then dust them with sugar. (My mum always used to eat them like this when she was poorly, I think it was the only time she gave into this hideously unhealthy version of a healthy breakfast)
As kids we used to call Shredded wheat Wurzles, cos we thought they looked like Wurzle Gummage. (I recently discovered that 80 miles away ukwarwickdood's family were doing the same.)

"...with all the goodness of wheat it's compleatabix..."
Damn you
"...that's why Weetabix is unbeatabix."
